Okay: that was really hard.

When I asked you guys to “show me your passion” to win an all-inclusive weekend in Tofino, BC during the upcoming O’Neill Cold Water Classic, I had no idea how you would rise to the challenge!

I got the most amazing poems, photos, videos, tweets, blog posts, heartfelt pleas and borderline erotica (who knew surfing was so sexy?).

In the end, after careful review (and a second glass of wine) I decided I had to reward Alicia Fairclough of Vancouver for her delightful doggerel about a Tofino break-up which concluded with the lines:

So Tofino for me’s a bad memory

And one that I’d rather forget

But my therapist says that’s not healthy

When dealing with things we regret

To go again would be better

No jerk would ruin my stay

Just me and a girlfriend together

And we won’t even have to pay
