Enter to win one of three Top Table cookbooks!
Written by: Julie Ovenell-CarterFOX’s highly addictive brain-candy series Hell’s Kitchen (featuring chef-tyrant Gordon Ramsay) is winding up its sixth season tonight, and this round’s lucky winner gets a plum gig as head chef at swanky Araxi (under executive chef James Walt) just in time for the 2010 Winter Games.
If you can’t make it to tonight’s viewing party in Whistler, here’s the perfect consolation prize: the brand-new Araxi cookbook–or one of the other two glossy beauties in the Top Table cookbook series, Blue Water Cafe Seafood or The West Cookbook.
Valued at $50 each, these are as much fun for your eyes as they are for your palate. If you know these best-in-class restaurants, you know the calibre of recipes we’re talking about here; and if you don’t–well, let’s just say it’s time you did.
Tell me why you simply must get your hands on one of these cookbooks and on Friday, Oct. 16 I’ll do a random draw at 8 pm.
First name I pull gets their first choice; second person, the choice of the two remaining books; and third person still gets a great prize.
Good luck!

on October 8th, 2009I would love to get my hands on these cookbooks because let’s face it, I’m in a cooking rut. The seasons are changing and I’m out of practice for fall and need some inspiration for what to make. Plus I love all the fab local chefts we have and find their cookbooks tend to be more relevant to me.
Plus I’d love some ideas for what to make when it’s just me and my husband and we’re not eating with the kids!

on October 8th, 2009Pick me pick me pick me. I love cookbooks and who else do you know would have a cook off with Atlantic and Pacific salmon steaks and still end up in a draw with the results?
Okay don’s answer that but I love cooking and Canadian cookbooks would surely feed my passion for local foods (I am using local broadly here).
You East coast bud Martha
